Many years ago I owned an Icelandic dog that I got as a puppy from Flaga in Þistilfjörður.
He was given the name Bakur and I have quite a few pictures of him and allow myself to send along a small sample here.

It so happened that we lived just above the town and the house is called Sunnuhvoll, and the yard by the house was fenced. On the yard there were four fence posts.
One of the things that Bakur loved to do was that we would put a cap on him and tie it so that it stayed on properly. Then we would play hide and seek - we ran around the yard and Bakur chased us, but sometimes he would run into the fence or the fence posts.

But he wouldn't take the cap off unless he managed to get at our feet, and then he would put one front paw on the cap and twist it off, and he was very happy and of course he got a small reward.
