The Icelandic Sheepdog is one of the nation's most underrated cultural treasures. It deserves more attention. To honour this unique cultural heritage, we opened the Heritage Centre in the spring of 2025. The centre is the result of three years of ambitious research and the design of an exhibition unlike any other in Iceland. Here you can explore the dog's history through stories and images and, if you're lucky, greet our own dogs—Sómi, Hraundís, and Fönn—who welcome guests with their warm and friendly nature.
