About Icelandic Dogs

When I was a kid in the countryside, around 1958, the bitch had 6 puppies.

The farmer decided to keep one of these six. A bonfire was lit and the puppies were placed as close to the fire as possible. The bitch grabbed them immediately. The puppy that the bitch took first was the one that got to live.
